What a day…
Thank God tomorrow is Friday! Today has been kinda rough. I was busy, tired, irritable, etc. Then I had to go clean my old apartment tonight, which I had been dreading, but I had tremendous help in my mom, she is the best.
Anyway, this is a food blog, not a therapy blog, so here’s how the rest of my day really went:
Mid-morning snack – Granola bites
Lunch – Black bean veggie burger on minibagel bread with laughing cow cheese and spinach; side salad with spring mix, spinach, mushrooms, red pepper, and cucumbers; Annie’s lowfat honey mustard vinaigrette.
Went for a moderate intensity 45-minute walk after lunch!
Snacks during afternoon meeting – Sierra Mist Free; assorted fruit and small peanut butter cookie.
After the meeting, my work day was over, so I hit the gym and did 30 minutes of weight/strength training and 15 minutes on the treadmill. I tried to run but I don’t know if it was the heat or my tiredness from staying up late last night but I just didn’t have the energy. I walked until I hit 100 calories and 1 mile on the machine.
Dinner with Mom – Backyard Burger; I ordered the garden veggie sandwich thinking it would be a sandwich with veggies and it ended up being a veggie burger! So I basically had the same thing for dinner that I had for lunch. But the patties were different, this one had mushrooms in it! I had a baked potato on the side, with a very small dollop of butter and sour cream (but I ate the whole thing, even the skin)!
Evening snacks – chocolate tofu pudding; 2 Kashi Oatmeal raisin flax cookies; smoothie made with vanilla soymilk, banana, peanut butter and ice. I think I overdid it a little.
