Friday kicked butt!
Friday morning I got started with a nice breakfast…a scrambled egg on a piece of whole wheat bread; a cup of low sodium V8 juice; and turkey sausage.
I had a mid-morning snack of honey roasted peanuts (my favorite!) and then headed to a “Cardio Kick” class, which was majorly intense! It involved lots of cardio, kick boxing, and strength training moves including a short abs session. By the end of the night, my shoulders were sore and the next morning, I woke up and felt like I’d been hit by a bus….but in a good way, ya know 😉 I can’t wait to go again next Friday!
Lunch was kind of random…I started off with carrots & hummus and a peach…
Then finished with two Wasa crackers and 2 tbsp of nut butter (I only had 1 tbsp of peanut butter left, so I brought the Sun Butter too):
Late afternoon, I had some soy yogurt (So Delicious Vanilla, heaven!)
Then, we met some friends for dinner at BJ’s Brewhouse & Restaurant, where I ordered the Chicken Lettuce Wraps off the appetizer menu…they were very good, tasted a lot like PF Chang’s version of the same dish. My only complaint was that I ran out of ‘stuffing’ and had a few pieces of lettuce left over 😦 But I was full and it was tasty, so I can’t complain too much!
“Dessert” was a new Vanilla Latte + Protein from Starbuck’s (grande, with soy milk). It has quite a few calories (290), more than I like to get from a drink usually, but it was a nice treat and I had a light dinner so I didn’t feel too bad.
