What happened Brett?
So the Jets lost majorly last night…my husband is a huge Jets fan but I am slightly annoyed by Brett Favre and all his “I’m retired”, “I’m coming back!” ways so I found it kind of funny (sorry). But as always, Monday Night Football was enjoyable 🙂
Yesterday for breakfast, I made a yummy, creamy smoothie of 1 cup soymilk, 2/3 cup frozen strawberries, and 1/2 packet of Jay Robb’s vanilla protein powder. I also had two eggs poached on a whole wheat English muffin.
When I got to work, I wasn’t feeling so hot so I kind of just sat here for a couple of hours. I think I wore myself out on Sunday with running and doing hours of housework. So I took yesterday as a rest day.
Mid-morning snack…decaf coffee with Silk creamer and a Kashi nutrigrain-type bar…taste just like it, but much better ingredients!
I had lunch with my aunt at Cracker Barrel yesterday…I ordered the chicken ‘n dumplins with carrots, green beans, applesauce, and corn bread muffins! My eyes were WAY bigger than my stomach…I ate all the veggies, 1 bite of corn bread, and 2 bites of applesauce; only about 1/3 of these dumplins went anywhere!
Luckily, I have leftovers for another meal, always a good thing! After lunch, I was quite full and it held me over for more than 4 hours, which is so unusual for me! I was glad though. I went for a walk over to the bank and bookstore to get up and move my feet for a few minutes. I didn’t want to be a complete bum! 😉
Before I left work, I had a Whole Soy & Co lemon yogurt (WOW, love it! Very flavorful but not too lemony, just right) and a peach:
Dinner was awesome as usual…husband made some small barbecue pork chops (I have two here), with a side of broccoli and a piece of whole wheat toast with Smart Balance (I think I’ll get the kind with olive oil or Omega 3’s next time since I’m using it more now).
Then we had our group over for MNF. Surprisingly again, I did not get hungry or even have a craving for anything other than water until 4 hours after dinner! I had a cup of decaf coffee with soy milk and a squirt of honey; then I had this banana with some peanut butter.
Even though I went to bed late, I still had a very comfortable, restful sleep and I am feeling much better today than yesterday. Sometimes it pays to rest, I just have to force myself to do it sometimes! 🙂
