Help the fight against HIV/AIDS

My best friend Courtney and I are participating in the 16th annual Louisville AIDS Walk on Sunday, September 28th. We both feel that fighting the HIV/AIDS pandemic is a very important issue and one that our generation needs to give even more attention to; this walk is only a small step, but we are searching for more ways that WE can help the fight. We have decided to start locally.

The Louisville AIDS Walk was founded in 1993. It is Kentucky’s largest fund raiser for HIV/AIDS. Funds raised at the event ensure those in need continue to receive the food, medication assistance, housing, emergency financial assistance, housing, counseling, legal assistance, transportation to and from medical appointments, educational / healthy living / life skills workshops, a monthly fellowship dinner, spiritual retreats, support groups and other support services provided by a diverse group of local non-profit organizations.
Kintera is a 501(c)3 Public Charity so all donations are tax deductible. Thanks to the generosity of the business sponsors, every cent raised through individual donations and fund-raising events goes directly to direct client services!

I have set up a web page for donations if any of you are interested in donating. I appreciate your consideration. Please forward this to anyone you think might be interested in the cause.
