Wacky Wednesday

My post titles are becoming less and less creative as I go along here, huh?

Yesterday was a weird day…I woke up in the morning and didn’t feel like eating ANYTHING. I went threw my freezer, fridge, pantry, nothing sounded good. And I was feeling a little under the weather in the stomach department…

So I had two Gingerbread Pop Tarts (omg, thank goodness these are seasonal, I love them), a banana and some water…also took a multi-v and a calcium supplement πŸ™‚

Mid-morning, I had some coffee and a ginger snap Larabar (what’s with all the ginger? I think my body knew it was a cure for nausea, hah). This is probably my favorite flavor, or at least top 3!

I went to the gym and did 30 minutes on the recumbent bike and some random weights for about 15-20 minutes. I really need to get with a trainer and get a new program going, I don’t want to lose any muscle, in fact, I want to build some more!

I weighed in today…149. It’s basically a maintenance because it’s only up 0.2, but still. I spoke with a wellness coach and she told me that she thinks my original goal was a bit unrealistic. She thinks I should work on staying between 144-148 for now and if I happen to dip below 144 (my lowest weight ever), then we could reassess. So that felt good to hear, I think my expectations have been a bit unrealistic and I need to give myself more credit.

I have all but decided I’m going to quit using the scale as my only means of progress. I also need to realize that just because other people my height weight 125-135, doesn’t mean I am going to. I need to focus more on staying healthy and toning up and working on improving my running. And most of all, keep having fun! πŸ™‚

I have no idea what happened to my lunch or snack pics. For lunch, I had tuna (3 oz) in two pita pockets, a V8 can (5.5 oz), a serving of cheddar Sun Chips. I had been thinking about peanut butter M&M’s off and on for a while, so I finally decided to get some. Let’s just say, they were NOT as good as I remembered and I have realized now more than ever that junk foods like that do not cure anything. So I learned a good lesson.

I stayed full the rest of the day mostly, just eating a peach before I left work, which held me over almost 3 hours til dinner!

Potluck dinner was very colorful…we had Morningstar Tomato-Mozzarella burgers on wheat buns (with ketchup), side of tomato soup, and baked sweet potatoes with cinnamon and Smart Balance. I loved it all! πŸ™‚

Then for dessert, we had sugar free Jello pudding cups in dark chocolate topped with raspberries! I went back for more berries when these were gone. Like I have said before, I do not usually buy sugar free stuff or Jello because it contains milk but this wasn’t too bad. Moderation is the key to everything.

The weekend is almost here, hooray!
