Another early morning
Hooray once again for early morning sweat fests!
I woke up at 5:20 this morning, got my stuff together for work, walked the dog and then made a quick breakfast (smoothie + new bar, you’ll see tomorrow) and hit the road at 6:15 a.m.! I have to say, another one of the many benefits to getting up this early is the non-existant traffic. Around here, things start to go nuts around 7:00, so when I’m able to beat the rush, it’s even more relaxing!
I decided to change things up a bit with the workout, here it is:
15 minutes on the Elliptical trainer, level 5, ramp 9 (burned 151 calories)
I chose to re-try a few combination moves an old trainer taught me that I hadn’t used in a while. They are a great time saver!
Combo: Chest Press + Flye, 10 lbs (2×12)
Combo: Hammer curls (bicep) + overhead shoulder press, 10 lbs (2×12)
Hip Abductor/adductor machine, 65 lbs (2×12 each exercise)
Leg extension machine, 50 lbs (2×12)
Leg curl machine, 50 lbs (2×12)
Unfortunately, I ran out of time for abs, so I think tomorrow I will do some cardio + abs. I’m even considering an early morning workout tomorrow just because it makes the day go so much better 🙂
