Race Recaps

I officially became a runner in September 2007, when I ran for the first time in my life…for 2 minutes.

I used a really great 10-week training program to build up to 30 minutes of straight running, then I challenged myself to literally “go the distance” by participating in 4 races in the Spring of 2008: a 5k, 10k, 10-miler and a half-marathon!

Since then I’ve been doing races off and on, some walking, some running but now I am back in the racing circuit and just finished my third half marathon on April 24, 2010 🙂

Here are all the races I have done over the past few years. The bold ones are my personal records. Note: I started blogging regularly in May 2008 so anything before might not have a recap.

5K (3.1 miles)

10K (6.2 miles)

  • Rodes City Run, 3/12/11 – 1:09:37
  • Home Run for Kids, 10/23/2010 – 1:09:12
  • Rodes City Run, 3/21/09 – 1:03:00
  • Rodes City Run, 3/15/08 – 1:02:29

Half-marathons (13.1 miles)

Miscellaneous distances

Happy Racing! 🙂
